with support by john selway, stephan bodzin, perc, technasia, xhin, tony rohr, dean facer and many more. the catalogue number 013 on the berlin label phunkit records is at the same time the starting shot for the first vinyl release. and exactly this one shows down-to-earth techno from the capital, elaborated and cunning, by the artist duo takt tick. the actual overhead conveyors and host djs from the tresor club present trend-setting productions. the name >u1< is, brought to the point, a little journey through the time of berlins underground. the a1 side sends the listener on a trip which is coined by dynamical passages of highs and crispy bass parts. uncompromisingly does the rhythm chase around the focused, flogging consonance and the slowly modulated intervals with short breaks. on the b side: >whisper<, a subtle peak-time monster which does not know any kind of holdup, full of energy and only waiting for the chance to make the strobes lose their wind. >black worms is a b2-bomber for sure. with its dusky sounds, it is solidly rolling without downward movement. shady, resonant, consequent and remorseless.

footandmouths third release is a fantastic four track ep of some stupendous edits. if youve spent any time in ibiza this summer, youre sure to have heard d-sounds great take on hall & oates. a massive dc10 anthem, this is one of the most hyped tracks of the summer. subtle in execution, massive on impact, simply stunning! a2 is a great little disco edit, cheeky and fantastically infectious. the flip features another hall & oates revision by jersey shore guido, whilst, me & my fellas deliver another hot disco edit. great four tracker with something for all the family

it has been the sweetness and warmth of the city of hamburg, its delightful venues such as the golden pudel club and smallville parties at ego that made him diving into deepest music. after >ne travaillez jamais< became the favorite track of all smallville and dial djs and rau played on one of those magic nights the idea of an album was born. the plan was as simple and lovely as the music on asper clouds is. here comes the sun.

dixie yure is the incarnation of contemporary oldschool house music from seville. after some digital only releases it is about time for some haptic experience. with the 10“ record „show me satisfaction“ on berlin-based label fenou his sound is rotating on turntables for the first time. monotonous minimalism ain’t dixie yures world. the sound tends more towards 2step and builds a homogeneous and pleasant mixture with classical house elements and vocal parts. you just cant deny yourself dancing the >chicken dance< and stepping like hell! thanks to the funky improvisations extending over the whole track you wont get bored even after listening to >show me< for the hundredth time. the a-side is just fun - in the club as well as on your couch. you wont miss the low-pitched vocals on the b-side either as they are typical for the spanish producer. >satisfaction< is a little more reduced than >show me< but is enhanced with jazz elements such as pianos and saxophones. it shows that wind instruments in electronic music dont have to be annoying tribal elements. in this example acoustic instruments do not just get mixed up with house music but merge to one groove – absolutely rocking tune!

once again another masterpiece from the dynamic reflection squad in your face! this time its from the uk monster voidloss. the title track acteon is already an oldy and paul felt in love with it a long time ago. it was already digital released in 2007, but we asked voidloss if he wanted to see this on pure gold as well... and of course he wanted that! so why dont we put up an whole ep with more dancefloor killers of this man? grovskopa is always capable of delivering good remixes and so he did. this time something a little bit different then what you expect, but with this track he shows us what an open mind he has on techno. rolling crunchy basslines and smooth pads bring this track in a perfect vibe to set the tone for the night. moment of total emptiness is a more deeper and hypnotic tune, but will definitely bang your head on the dancefloor. mr. a. paul is going for the rework and came up with a really great uplifting and oldschool touch. perfect tool to use in your dj sets! all n all a superior release by this uk studio wizard. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come.. dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

velvet: a great techno classic gets the full c series overhaul. bang up to date and a perfect floor filling package. tribal percussion rattles along with a speaker throbbing bassline which drops seamlessly into that well known synth from the original. the main lead is then tinkered, wrapped around, and flipped to breathe new life and give us a new shade of velvet. intergalactic:doesnt need much of an introduction, the title pretty much gives it away. the beastie boys go techno! another dance floor smash and grab here beastie style. vocals used effectively.. not too much not too little but with the fused with the rest of the track it brings out so much energy, the percussion, the toms in the background, the stabs throughout the track makes everyone in the room jump!

what an absolute stormer, for those of you who have never heard this record, get ready to be blown away. initially out in 1992 inner citys pennies from heaven was just the most perfect house anthem, i think it was kevins tunnel mix which was the killer mix, here it has been strung out just a little by the slow to speak people. all the crucial elements are still there, amazing vocal, the most uplifting of pianos, ridiculously simple yet deadly bassline and fantastic crisp garage beats. really they dont get much better than this, watch em go on nye when you drop this. awesome!

hypnotize to mesmerize. thatÆs always been mark eÆs thing. enjoying a sterling reputation as an editor as well as establishing his own label merc with a string of well made 12inches and two dope compilations, the man from birmingham complements our little label again with some original productions. starting with out with nobody else, mark puts love on top of love. unfortunately for you - and good for us - you have to fetch a second copy to go back and forth with the weighty bonus beats. flip side: the wolf is a murky trip into classic cavernous house music with a bottom-heavy ruffneck sound and an attention drawing siren. that alarm bell is also included in a minute-long extra fx section and for those that cannot get enough, seeks and ye shall find a locked-groove. people who like to carry their record collection around on a hard-drive, will also be pleased to know that there is an additional track to be found on the digital release (no locked grooves there, were afraid). its a contemplative force called stoneleigh express. e is for earthquake!

at least since his workshop005 release, he has modulated his way straight in our hearts. unlike other artists, he knows how to let his synthesizers speak and tells us little stories, while always searching for new romanticfrequency ranges. so >my heart< tells us a story, from the in-ear adapter straight into the heart.

kathy diamond is possibly one of dance musics greatest singer, songwriters. on love saves the day she demonstrates why she is considered such a talent. every great original, already release on separate vinyl disc (needw004), should have an equally good remix and with this new package that rule is no exception. mario basanovÆs vocal remake is a perfectly timed disco shaker, that combines funky guitar licks with an eighties inspired synthy bassline all to a summery and uplifting backdrop. kathys vocal is cut up to perfection with eventually mario letting the chorus shine. on the dub he takes things direct to the dancefloor with squelchy bassline and punchy kick drum with a piano break that will have hands pointing upwards. soulclap need little introduction being one of the hottest production / dj at this moment in time. from the wolf & lamb camp, they have impressed with their repertoire of musical abilities.

footandmouths second release, and what a hot little number it is. a familiar piano anthem gets not simply re-edited but gets a full reinterpretation replayed and re-envisioned with a contemporary feel. the a side features a full 12 minute momentous version, full of pathos and emotion, where the melody and keys are reworked over an insistent, hissing house groove. the flip features two shorter versions, a tougher punchier edit and a superb piano-pella. an amazing rework, that is sure to be one of the tunes of this summer. tune of the issue in the july edition of mixmag and being championed by anyone that can get their hands on a copy, expect to hear this everywhere!
